Thanks for replying i saw an allergy specialist a number of years ago maybe ten or more i used to eat mixed nuts with no trouble peanuts Brazil's cashews almonds etc then out of the blue after eating some i started getting breathless itching sweating had to go to hospital where they gave me a shot of adrenaline kept me in for couple of days and basically said I'm allergic to most nuts so best not eat any but did say it's probably raw nuts out of the shells not in food and have been cooked I'm also allergic to honey not thats a problem be diabetic wasn't sure about seeds don't want to land up in trouble again thanks.
Funny you say that about raw. I seem to have issues with raw too. Not an allergy, just a weird reaction. I do much better, no reaction, to roasted and salted. They taste better too!! I roast my pecans in kerrry gold butter and salt and my pumpkin seeds in Cajun spices. Yum.
actually I eat less diary than I used to eat now... and much more vegetables... and also very little meat and much more fish... but somthing is not optimal wich is seen clearly on my skin...will stopp eating brazil-nuts in larger amounts ..
as many maybe know selenium is healthy in a certain amount daily, but poisonous in higher amounts and it seems only 4 brazil-nuts do hit the daily needed level and like over 6 brazil nuts daily would lead to a poisoning of selenium.. and I have eaten like 10 nuts a least in average for many month but this stops now..
When you say you now eat less dairy than before, has your milk consumption increased, decreased or stayed the same? Many have no issues with dairy, per se, but do have issues with milk.
I have a grumbling feeling I myself might be enhanced by giving up milk, but it's nothing dire for me, currently.

I hardly drink any milk anymore, only once or twice a week I put a little in a cup of coffee, I am rahter sure it is not a milk problem..
we do not all have the same issues..
well concerning nuts...
Cashews are actually allways cooked, the shell is very poisonous and the people who work with taking it off very often get servere skinproblems from their job...which is why I do not really want to buy them anymore, wonder if that is a very special and different kind of allergy maybe a reaction to a chemical more like a "normal poisoning" if there is such a thing... then maybe some people would react different to this specifik "nut"
Stick with Macadamia nuts Freema, from picking to processing and de-shelling them it's all done by machines. The only time a gloved human hand gets involved is when a broken nut or piece of shell gets onto the belt before they get packaged or boxed loose.
