Based on my recent blood tests, my C-Reactive Protein (CRP) & Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) are literally off the chart and into the next room..my White Cell Count is also elevated. Cardiologist suspects underlying chronic inflammation caused by long term uncontrolled diabetes.

went on low carb several months ago. weight loss is progressing well. A1C is back in normal range. also been supplementing with heavy doses of tumeric which is said to help and heavy doses of Arcoxia (NSAID) for a slightly inflamed tendon in my right shoulder.

despite all that, chronic inflammation persists as evidenced by my last 3 tests over the last 4 months.

does anyone have any experience with this? any ideas or suggestions welcomed...medication, supplements, herbs, voodoo...seriously, will try almost anything now..

Get a good cardiologist and the rest will follow. By the way Arcoxia is banned in the USA. I used it once, caused edema and didnt give any real pain relief.

Thanks Pasha. My cardiologist is quite good and open minded. As I mentioned elsewhere, he even went low carb after seeing my blood results but stopped because he lost too much weight too quickly and he wasn't overweight to begin with..he says that i am going in the right direction and should just be patient. and start exercising again.

fortunately, arcoxia works for me. i am not happy that i have to keep taking it but i fear a steroid jab for my shoulder would push me out of ketosis and send my sugar rocketing up.
