Hi there, I am hoping you can help. I currently stay in Central Scotland and have my pump and consumables paid for by my local health authority. My husband and I may have to move to Solihull cause of my husband's job. Does anyone know what I can expect to have to pay for in England. I think each health trust can set its own criteria for pump useage but don't know if this is true. I also use the CGM system continually but fund this myself. I have heard that this may be partly funded under certain circumstances in England. Can anyone help me with some info please.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Karla,
prescriptions are free for people with diabetes (Except diet and exercise) so you wont have to pay anything.
If you do come over the border then make sure you have at least 3 mths worth of supplies. The wheels in PCT's tend to move very slowly re referal and setting up an account to pay for the supplies. Your new PCT are oblidged to pay the cost of your pump supplies as you are already on a pump.
If at all worried contact INPUT for further advice and or if you know where you are going give the local pump clinic a ring and ask how they go about supplies etc.
Hope all goes well for you.

CGM,
it's very rare for any PCT to fund this. So all you can do is ask.
