Inheriting diabetes??

Ok I know this may seem an unusual question and is mainly for the know alls out there, but I have type 1 diabetes since i was 22 months old, and about 10-12 years ago my father was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
i now have three kids of my own and always worry when they get extra thirsty or show other signs of diabetes, but after seeing the latest newsletter and reading the website info I was wondering what are the chances of my kids inheriting either types of diabetes. all three kids have normal BMIs but with 2 generations having 2 different types of diabetes is there an added risk above the normal inheritance risk??

I don't recall any numbers but know that heredity is greater for type 2 than 1
