Inject for fruit?

Ok, so I'm on a diet which consists of mostly fruit, for example in college the only carbs i count is my wrap, i don't count the fruit, should i count it? When i got diagnosed my dietitian told me i don't really need to inject for fruit, but i find my bg levels do go slightly high after eating the fruit..

What do you guys think?

Fruit contains carbs so you must inject for it otherwise your bg will be raised afterwards as you have found out, check with a book like Calorie Carb & Fat Bible 2014 for the carb content of fruits.
 
You need to inject for fruits (actually any carbs you consume). They contain more carbs than you would think
 
Fruits are full of fructose (sugar) so yes you should inject for it.

I know it's part of your diet but I try and avoid fruits as I don't trust it!

Also, it's a good idea to wash your hands after eating fruit because there might be some sugars on your hands from the juice in them and it would give a false reading.

No need to avoid fruit provided you inject to cover the carbs, fruit....like veg should be part of a healthy diet for anyone.
 
Fruit, veg, salad, beans - it's all carbs and all needs injecting for. No idea why some in the medical profession can't understand that. If you're insulin-dependent and eat something with carbs in it will raise your BG unless you jab. Doesn't matter whet the source of the carbs is.

Yep, I've had a few OMG moments looking at my meter after eating a ripe pear!

I remember eating a fruit salad once, tested bg after and it said HI didn't feel bad or anything, washed my hands and it was 6 I think. Good job I didn't correct!
