I wear white shirts as part of my work uniform have noticed that lots of them are getting blood spots from my injections. Any tips on stopping as I speedily inject and don't want to sit holding tissue against the site.

There's not a lot you can do to stop this. You could mitigate it by wearing cycling shorts underneath and injecting through those, or injecting in a different area.

I personally find that if I notice I'm bleeding after the injection I just do a quick wipe with a tissue and it stops. I don't think I've ever held the tissue over the injection site as I'm usually injecting quick as well. I don't normally continue to bleed after that... well rarely do anyhow. When I don't have a tissue on hand, yeh I do bleed on my clothes.

That would be annoying for you... I agree with Tim2000 on wearing something under to help stop the blood going on your white shirt.

This is what I hated most about injecting. Ended up buying a whole load of 'washproof spots' - those tiny tiny plasters - but that was such a faff so I generally just either put up with it (and the washing!) or sat there with my finger against the hole until I felt it wasn't going to bleed any more.

Injecting long-acting in my legs during the summer (white trousers) was especially annoying.

On a pump now so it's now only an every-three-day potential blood spot, rather than multiple times daily. I do sympathise, though.

I just inject around the navel, can't pull cycle shorts up Simon cowell style! Lol i don't have any fat on my legs or would maybe give it a go thru my trousers.
