Injection sites

At my last clinic visit I was told I had lipohypertrophy, and that I must stop injecting in the areas either side of my navel that I have been using too much. I was wondering whether any of you have tips on how to remember, record, vary, organise my MDI for this problem. I've got small lumpy areas on my stomach which I had assumed were just fat, but apparently it's a kind of scar tissue which could affect absorption of insulin in future, and perhaps is already doing so.
