I have Type 2 diabetes.
Some time ago, I was prescribed the Ozempic injection pen by my diabetic nurse, and we all know that the demand got so great
that it was unobtainable on the NHS.
So i was then you can take this new injection (Mounjaro) .
Now I'm told by my pharmacy that this is also unobtainable on the NHS, so where do we go from here.
I have informed my doctors, and as yet am waiting for a reply
.

Hi @Javen and welcome to the forum. I was started on Victoza an injection similar to Ozempic a couple of years ago and had the same problem with obtaining it when so called ‘skinny jabs’ hit the headlines. Long story short I was prescribed Rybelsus tablets instead (an oral form of semaglutide, the drug in Ozempic). I had it for both blood sugar and weight control. My blood sugars were already very good but Rybelsus plus a low carb diet have kept them so. I have also lost a shed load of weight and am now at a healthy weight. At my review I was allowed to stay on it for maintenance.
Maybe something for you to consider?
