Can anyone advise me what to eat when I fancy some bread with say a bit of cheese is tthere any crackers or similar to have in the place of bread thanks

Why not try low carb bread from low-carb megastore. Its expensive but I try to use it only when I am desperate for a bacon and egg sarnie, that way it lasts longer. Also Fergus has posted a recipe for low carb bread (which I have been too lazy to make yet). I'm hoping Fergus's bread goes into production soon and then I will be able to buy it.

Holland and Barrett stock low carb crispbread. Tastes of compressed bran. several crispbreads are lowish.

Nairns lite oat cake biscuits are only 4g CHO per biscuit. My husband loves them as they have no added sugar and taste great with humous, cheese or p-nut b!

My standard replacement for toast is a grilled portobello mushroom or an aubergine sliced lengthways (drizzled with EVOO yum!)

I do the Nairn's rough oatcakes, can handle a maximum of two (12g carbs) even at breakfast.

I can also do ryebread but be careful, a whole slice is 40g carbs, I can do half a slice during the day.

Can't even look at wheat until evening.

Some people can do ryvitas or WASA crackers. Some can even do rice cakes. Some do Burgen bread.
