Anybody ever used , or currently use insulatard ?

It seems that my lantus isn't working as well as it should and my DSN has suggest perhaps using insulatard.

Thanks

I used it throughout the 1990s before being switched to Lantus. (I've never had consistent control with Lantus, so I finally switched to Levemir 3 months ago, but I seem to have a minor allergy to it).

So I am going to ask my doctor if I can go back to Insulatard. I seemed to do quite well on it as far as I can remember. :D

I used Insulatard until 1997. I was getting a lot of nighttime hypos and was switched to Lantus to stop them, which it did. I have been lucky not to have any problems with Lantus.

Never really had good control when using Insulatard, a better option is to switch to levemir or there's a new basal insulin out called Tresiba, I believe Treseba is in a U200 strength as opposed to standard insulin's that are U100.

Edit, A quick Google search says it's in both strengths.
