Hi. I take Novarapid. If I have no carbs at all for a meal do I not inject? Trying to reduce carbs and eat more protein because the weight is piling on round the stomach! Is there not an insulin you can have that does not put weight on? I'm struggling to get blood sugars at correct level.

So you're on a basal plus novorapid as a bolus? In theory, if you've got the basal right, you should be able to avoid insulin if you don't have a meal. However, you may have to have a small amount if insulin if there's a reasonable amount of protein in the meal, as that can convert to carbs...
Good luck. I have exactly the same issue (finding it very hard to reduce weight), and I think that reducing carbohydrate as a method to reduce insulin may well be the way to go.
