Insulin and metformin

Hi I've just come back the consultant, I'm 10 weeks pregnant, found out I have type 1 at 4 weeks pregnant and my insulin keeps going up, so have now been put on metformin as well.

Has anyone else experienced this before?
Any advise would be great

Hi, I'm type 1 and use Apidra and 2 X 500mg metformin SR tablets at each meal. I'm very insulin resistant and the tablets help keep my BSs down without increasing my carb/insulin ratio. I found the tablets take a few days to be absorbed into your system.
