I am new to this site and would like to know if it normal to have insulin and tablets for diabetes.
My dad has had insulin for the last 4 years but has also continued to take the tablets he was originally prescribed.

It is perfectly normal, especially if he is a Type 2 ? There is nothing in your profile so I am only guessing. If he is a Type 1 even they can be prescribed certain medications.
