Insulin and Vietnam Relocation

Hi everybody

I am relocating to Vietnam and need any advice I can get on how to get insulin, how much costs it would incur and whether there is any medical insurance co-pay options I would be eligible for, being an expat.

I am a Type 1 and currently use NovoNordisk Levemir Flex Pen and NovoNordisk Novorapid Penfill. I know I can get some supply from my GP but this is not a permanent solution, unfortunately. I tried contacting NovoNordisk in the UK but they were less than helpful.

Please do share your experience if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Should be no problem, I’ve lived all over Asia and had no problems finding medications.

look for an expat forum for the city your moving to.
 
I'm completely with @LaoDan in suggesting ex-Pat forums. They are usually a hive of knowledge in how things actually work, rather than the paper based theory.
