Maybe eat a small zero carb breakfast to take your pills with, like a couple of fried eggs. That will not raise you any further. Freaking out and worrying can also raise your blood sugar.
After injecting Lantus last night the top of the orange part of my Autoshield BD needle had a bit of insulin on it and I went to bed worrying with this knowledge.
This morning, testing two fingers, 9.0 and 8.8 ..... a way above my usual readings.
Do I assume I have no breakfast and take pills on an empty stomach?

PS I only have a small carton of Greek yoghurt. Meant to buy eggs yesterday.

I have sent an email to the nurse. I also rang the nurse and she;s on another call and will ring me back. I have taken the Gliclazide and thyroid medication, not the Metformin.
