You might try part of a protein, low or no carb shake in between? Sometimes though high protein with no carbs can still make your blood sugars go up. Natural Factors has some high fiber shakes with Glucomannan fiber to help fill you up and help with BG levels. I'm sure some other companies do too. Plus sometimes just a simple snack of cauliflower with a little soy sauce or something like a spoon of nut butter might be okay and not boost your BG level. Cauliflower mashed potato style. Mushrooms, you could dice them and add some garlic and onion. Broth soup. You will have to test your BG level to find out what might work.
I would also recommend testing your BG level when you get hungry, sometimes hunger can be from dropping or from too low of BG kevels. If that's the case your dose might need to be adjusted.
