So I did my jab for my tea however I obviously didn’t get me needle deep enough, so I have a lump, will this insulin eventually be absorbed or do I need to redo all the jab. Obviously don’t want to double up and end up hypo if not needed

Thank youuu!

@Diabellie8494 . Definitely DO NOT inject again.
Providing the needle pierced your skin, which it did, hence the lump then you will have insulin on board.
The most likely cause of the lump is you hitting a small blood vessel causing a small bleed under your skin, a bit like a blister.
Your insulin will still do it's job.
If you're unsure do more testing over the coming hours to see how your bs levels are.

If you think you didn't exactly end up with an entirely sub-cu injection, but more of a cu injection, you can help release/disperse the insulin by giving the area a gentle massage to see if the lump goes down. But the area might be a bit tender. And I would only consider this if testing suggests insulin needs releasing - are you high 90 mins after the bolus and eating?

I've managed to do this before, but with my basal. I'm very short sighted and need to keep my glasses on when injecting into my leg otherwise I can't tell if the needles in or not!
