I have been on insulin for just over a month, so i have not got my doses totally correct yet

i currently take 15 units of levemir before bed, and 5 units of novorapid with each meal

well, like a total wally a couple of nights ago, i accidentally took 15 units of novorpaid before bed, just after id injected i look at the pen and the 'cr.. wrong one'

my BG reading before injection was 15.4 and i expected that over the next couple of hours i would be fighting hypo's.. well after 2hrs it was 13.2 and after 4hrs it was still 12.1 and 10.2 first thing the following morning,so it had very little effect!

obviously that night i did not take the levemir aswell, should i have taken some the following morning, or waited until the following night..

anyway a mistake i dont plan to make again!

You should have called your doctor or the out of hours doctor for advice. Now just carry on as you were instructed by your doctor with your medication and be more vigilant not to make that mistake again. Glad there weren't more serious repercussions :)
