Can anyone tell me what insulin pens for Novorapid give half doses?

I was given a Novo Junior pen case with which I use refill cartridges. Ask your DN or doctor to get you one!

Thanks Jessie. Hoping that the Novopen Echo will be released in the UK soon! I didn't think about looking at the kids insulin pens.

I imported one for about £120 last week.
To get one here's what you need.
Someone who resides in Denmark and prepared to order it online through Mediq Danmark and pay for it with a Danish Credit Card. They can send it to you once delivered to the Danish address.
They are great and it saves me from the dreaded double dose injections. It is slightly longer than an NovoPen 4 because of the dose display. No prescription needed, just a few quit extra for postage and funds to send to the buyer. Mediq Danmark won't post outside Denmark. The manual is in Danish but you can download an English PDF and print it here. Good luck and don't wait for the UK NHS to provide them as I suspect they are too expensive.

Are you in the UK ? How did you find out about this yourself? Just curious.
 
Yes I live in the UK. Found a site on the web that sells them to private customers. www.mediqdanmark.dk.
My sister has a friend who lives in Denmark who offered to help. Originally I tried to order online myself using the friends address which was fine, but it wouldn't accept a foreign credit card, so I sent the funds to the friend who did it for me using his details and card. All above board and no import or export restrictions to worry about. I had been writing to Novo Nordisk for the last year and got nowhere. I think you can acquire these pens through German online retailers now as well. I went through the same process getting 2 NovoPen 4's two years before the UK release. Worth every penny I must say.

I have a NovoPen 3 Demi which does half doses.

Just ask your DSN or Dr for it, they will need to add the cartridges to your prescription.
 
Yes! NovoPen Echo is now available in the UK. It can deliver half units and records your last dose and how long ago you had it. I got a second one from my GP yesterday. Diabetic nurses may only give them to children which I still find unhelpful. I think it is beneficial for all ages. I have been using one since last November and it has already saved me from missed or double doses 8 times. I would recommend one to everyone.
