Hi,
just wondering if there is any GD who have chosen to use insulin over glucophage. if there is, why?

Glucophange which is Metformin isn't actually licensed for use during pregnancy it actually carried a contridiction in pregnancy...

My local hospital don't like there T2's on Metfromin if they are trying to have a baby, preferring them to swap over to insulin...

In 1991 I was given Metformin (long story to this) and when I found myself pregnant I was advised to have a medical termination , due to the possible trashing to the babies heart that Metformin can do.. I refused put straight onto insulin and had an healthy baby at the end..
