How do I enquire about getting a pump?

Speak to your consultant or DSN and they will refer you to the pump team if you meet the criteria. It can take a while so be prepared to be patient.

Thank you Janny but I'm having problems with both a consultant and dsn since moving home I.e. I don't have either #feelingabandoned!!

Then ask your GP to refer you to the hospital. If it's the same hospital then make them aware you have moved house.

The best way to get a pump is through a hospital consultant who is sjpportive of pump therapy who will be able to use the NICE TA151 criteria to justify a need for the NHS to fund pump therapy. Its worth looking at the INPUT diabetes website which explains the way to get a pump and also has a dstabase of hospitals thst support pumps.. Pumps dont work magic though, they only work ok through frequent bg testing and getting the settings correct for the day ahead.
