Previously I had some brain fog issues along with tingling in my fingers, so I took some Alpha Lipoic Acid supplements along with vitamin B12 for neuropathy. These symptoms improved over time as I brought my Type 2 Diabetes under control with a LCHF diet. I still have a concern about long term health effects of T2 including cognitive decline and dementia. What can be do to prevent this or treat symptoms of this?

There seems to be a link between Insulin Resistance and dementia. Some people even call Alzheimer's disease Type 3 Diabetes. There are quite a lot of information about this on the internet e.g. https://www.alz.org/media/documents/alzheimers-dementia-diabetes-cognitive-decline-ts.pdf

I just watched this video on the rise of cognitive decline and the link to insulin resistance.

Since I am 71 and still work full time I need to keep my brain working effectively. My wife and I also look after our 2.5 year old grand-daughter 4 days a week, so I need to stay healthy and that means keeping blood sugars under control.
