Type 2
I'm confused. So we are told that Type 2 is caused by the cells of the body becoming insulin resistant . Then we are prescribed Metformin to stop the liver making so much glucose or Gliclizide to make the pancreas produce more insulin to control the higher blood sugar. Why not something to stop the cells being insulin resistant ? Is there such a thing ? Seems to me like hitting a locked door with a bigger and bigger hammer instead of just unlocking the door.. Any ideas?

That's is why so many have found success with lowering carbs in our diet.
It reduces the glucose in our body.
With time the body becomes much more sensitive to insulin.
