Hi.
As a rough rule of thumb, if my sugar level was say 9mmol and I gave myself 1 unit of short acting insulin, my sugar level would go down to 6mmol.
That is to say my blood sugar level to insulin unit ratio was 3-1. This used to be this way almost exclusively until recent months when it suddenly changed to around 1 unit of insulin needed to get my sugar level down by just 1.2mmol (instead of the usual 3).
Does this mean that my insulin sensitivity has been shot to pieces? did this happen to anyone else?
