I have had trouble getting prescriptions filled for about 6 weeks. Ozempic 0.5 is not available nationwide (or so my Pharmacist tells me) 0.25 is in very short supply too plus it means 2 jabs each time I use it. Tresiba is very difficult to obtain and I’ve had to change to cartridges instead of disposable pens which means 2 injections as they are limited to 30 units at a time. Is anyone else having the same problems or should I change my Pharmacy?

There’s a nationwide shortage of Tresiba too, even the hospital pharmacies can’t get it.

There is NOT a Tresiba shortage.
There is a shortage of single use pens.
This is not a problem as the reusable pens are far superior.
Two injections are better to reduce the chance lumps appearing causing insulin resistance due to large doses.

I’m just going off what I was told by my pharmacist, who also happens to work in one of the big Liverpool hospitals. I’m unable to get my repeat prescription for Tresiba and have been advised to ask my DNS to prescribe an alternative.
