The preferred method for adults is the no pinch technique,
which has been found to be safe and effective with one exception:
very thin adult males (e.g. BMI <18kg/m2) that inject in
their outer thighs. Males in this category should change their
injection site if they want to use the 5 mm with no pinch, since
they may not have enough layers of fat on their outer thighs.
Patients may pinch up if they desire.

I've tried my legs and my arms (never buttocks - no desire) but it seems to take too long to absorb in those areas, I end up getting frustrated at a hyper feeling, test bloods and find they are still high then inject more. Consequently having a hypo! I'd love to be able to inject in other sites, though. I now have lipohypertrophy in my stomach, which doesn't cause any pain but it's not the best looking or feeling thing in the world.
