I’ve ordered a new prescription of both the insulin’s I take. Only to have the pharmacy on the phone today to advise neither are available. With the likelihood of them not being available any time soon.

Anybody in the group found themselves in the same position? What course of action have you taken?

The only option I can see is to contact the hospital and see what they say.

Yes, I am using disposable pens.

My mum has recently been changed to the cartridges for fiasp. I’m guessing I’ll have to go to cartridges now if the pens are no longer available x

If you want to continue using those insulins yes, or you could discuss with your hospital team changing to different insulins.

Cartridges take up far less space in the fridge, and reusable pens save money for the nhs, and also mean there's less plastic going into landfill.

Interestingly, I have been on Tresiba cartridges for some time, with no issues regarding supplies. Recently, however, the pharmacist has advised me they are having difficulties in obtaining supplies, and there is (and recently has been) a delay in being able to get supplies in a regular timely fashion.
So far, I haven't completely run out, but it's getting closer!
Has anyone else had this issue with Tresiba cartridges?
