There has been a new product for diabetics. No more need for injections!

In all seriousness, if someone has a needle phobia, this could be a solution. (Not for me, as far as I'm concerned, this is strictly a one way street)

Seriously, the more delivery methods we can offer, the better
Suppose an accidental overdosing could be more quickly reversed
 
Having had bits cut out of my bum and several cameras poked up there as well as a GP's rubber covered finger I think my HCP's could administer any necessary medication while they are up there so that I need not bother.

It's remarkable how many uses the NHS can put an orifice to.
 
Would that be basal insulin??
