WE went to the Costa del Sol for a week last week and T1 husband managed not to bring enough Novorapid insulin. We went to a doctor, explained and showed him the Prescription repeat , which husband always carries. He happily wrote out a loacal prescription. ( I don't think he knows much about diabetes, because he waned us to check that the concentration in Spain is the same 100 U / ml.)
Anyway, we set out to get the bus into town to a pharmacy. The bus was full, so we walked. Pharmacies are easy to find by the green cross above the door. One of the dispensers spoke some English. looked at the English repeat form and showed us that they only do a pre-filled delivery system and we bought a box of 5 pre-filled pens for 46 Euros. she did ask if we had needles, as they are provided sparately. It was all very straightforward. Just a bit of a walk along the sea front at Fuengirola. we walked back via the zoo, where we had lunch.
I just thought I'd let folks know how easy it all was.
