I am type 2 I think i could be type 1 as it is my family.my problem is my insulin, it does not seem to work all the time I am putting insulin in and it continues to rise. The insulin i use is humalog i am beginning to think its rubbish

Are you looking for help on the matter? If so, please tell us more about the specific times it is happening.

How long before/after your first bite do you inject insulin?
Does this happen during particular times of the day?
Also, which type of Humalog are you using? (u100, u200, 75/25, 50/50, etc)

Those are all extremely important variables to consider in helping you.

Side note: if you have type 1 (and low insulin resistance) it would actually make you MORE likely to respond to insulin rather than less likely.

Hi. In addition to TorqPenderloin's questions can you let us know what your BMI/weight is, some typical meals and any other meds you are on?

hi there humalog U100 is a fast acting insulin and one of the important things with a fast acting insulin is that it needs to be "matched" to the carbohydrate intake.
your care team will have decided on a ratio of how many carbs to 1 unit of insulin.
this is known as an insulin to carb ratio. = I:C ratio

realistically you should discuss changes to your I:C ratio with your care team
