I have never agreed with "diets" - I try eat a balanced diet which most of time I do, there are times I am not so good but pull myself back. There are a lot of foods out there that I can't eat not because I don't like them but I have a very sensitive tummy and will not tolerate what It doesn't want. Listen to your body, truly listen, it will always tell you what you need when you need it.
The only problem I see with that is that sometimes you don't know what is bad for you.
Some sweet foods are absolutely delicious but can be really bad for you.
But everything in moderation is usually fine!
Carbs require more insulin than protein. At least that's what my meter and insulin doses tell me.
Finding the difference between T 1 & 2 tells me which foods require more insulin. Definately carbs then protein then fat.
