hi who uses this and at what dose.? does this work for you and at what time of day do you take it?.I use 40 units at breakfast and 34 units at lunch. but over last few days my blood sugar has been spiking at 19.5. i take long term steroids for copd and am on tablets for heart lungs and kidneys. i take diuretics for water retention and know these can have an effect too. what i want to know is what is the maximum dose of insuman combi i can have

I don't know the answer to your question and perhaps your HCP's would be the best people to ask, but I'll 'bump' your post up the forum in the hope you get some replies.

It's not a common insulin mix to be on . As you have other health issues, ( and you are right - steroids will affect the efficiency ) I agree with @noblehead that this is something to discuss with your diabetic team, especially if you've not been on it long, or have just noticed these readings. It's possible that you would do better on another insulin, or the timings as well as the dose needs adjusting .
