Hi,

I have recently been official put in to Type 2 Remission by the doctors and wanted to know if I still need to advise the insurance companies of the condition? I am looking to take out travel insurance and also want to start a diving course in the next few months.

Thank you for your help.
KR,

KR,
Well done on your achievement regarding type 2 diabetes remission.
I think most insurance forms are careful with wording, e.g. would say something like “Have you ever been diagnosed with diabetes?” Rather than, “Do you have diabetes?”
Therefore be very cautious as it has been known for insurance companies to refuse to pay out, if forms are filled out incorrectly.
For all insurance, I use an insurance broker. They find best dealsvfor individual circumstances, with the assurance that somebody knowledgeable has checked thevsmall print.
