In that case, here's a link to a study I found:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3952536

Basically, it just shows that 37% of 59 ppl tested for RH using an oral glucose tolerance test had different results when the test was repeated -suggesting that the OGTT is an unreliable diagnostic tool.

Hardly a revelation, but it is good that someone has done a study to show this.

It seems it was unreliable with respect to looking for reactive hypoglycemia.

From what I've read the OGTT should include measurements of plasma insulin. Years before your blood glucose goes high due to insulin resistance, your insulin levels go high.

Anyway, it just shows type 2 diabetes and other types of diabetes are very complex.

Thanks for the link @Brunneria.
Very interesting how the wording of the condition has changed as more understanding is evolved.
The condition I have is now termed as Late RH. Rather than the post-prandial syndrome, or as a meal based eating disorder. Which I find rather disturbing!

There are some worthwhile passages and understanding even though it was written decades ago .

"Some patients have increased insulin sensitivity, but this association is 'doubtful' or 'very rare!'"

I told you I was very special or I don't have it!!!!!!

"Whereas the ideopathic RH group has been referred to as a 'non-disease' group".

I told you I wasn't diabetic!

"Patients with this meal related eating disorder are characterised as ingesting excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates"

Why didn't they tell me sooner about being carb intolerant and I am allergic to them baddies!

"Patient with bona fide meal related RH should be treated primarily with dietary restriction of refined carbohydrates"

They knew back then what refined carbs do to everybody, why weren't we warned? No **** Sherlock!!

"During a protein meal, glucose plasma declined in both groups, compared to normals. The glucagon increase was significantly blunted in comparison to normals"

Simply, eat protein and get your diet low carb or you will suffer all the symptoms of constant hypos!

And I'm not normal!

Or am I weird?

More to read and discover .

Thanks again Brunn!
