The chap's experiences at the beginning of the write up mirror my own.
I decided that I was eating too much red meat and my diet was unhealthy. Alcohol was not an issue as I only drank once a week and very occasional drinks at home.
So what was the prevalent advice :-
Eat wholemeal bread
Eat more rice
Cut down on fats, so eat everything low fat or fat free.
Eat cereals
Eat pasta.
Eat jacket potatoes.
Eat plenty of fruit and veg.
Drink fruit juice and make fruit loaded smoothies - Buy a juicer!
Eat lentils, pulses and chick peas.
Drink plenty of skimmed milk.
So I did this for well over a year, then guess what ?????
DX for T2 diabetes!!
What can we do to make the world take notice???
