I think a lot of cattle in US are fed on grain rather than roaming on grassland like Europe.Ummmm...........worrying stuff.
The message seems to be that eating meat in the Americas isn't good for you (knowing why would be useful) but that eating carbohydrates in the Americas isn't particularly bad for you (again further study needed). In fact only eggs in the Americas were beneficial. Not sure if this is skewed by data from S. America.
What a massive divide between the Americas and Europe. Is it the diet or is it the type of studies?
