Intermittent Fasting

Yes, I do fasting mainly one day a week, when not working!
I have found that it does help, why, I'm not sure, but it does give my endocrine system a break!
And my bloods don't go anywhere, and I use it to make sure I'm in ketosis.
But you have to make sure you don't go hypo whilst fasting!

Yes I haven't tried yet and I don't think I could do it if working. Maybe a weekend would be good. How long do you do?

Usually all day. Which means about 36 hours.
My endocrinologist said he would rather I did just twelve hours intermittently!

I did 16 hours overnight and was 5.3 on testing which I didn't think was too bad. I'm finding I am hardly eating anything at the moment as I can't be bothered and worrying a bit about my intake. Am taking vitamins but feel like I might be missing out on good food.

Today have had half a mushroom Palma ham and cheese omelette. 11.00

Square of chocolate 1pm

Pork for lunch on its own as it was a hog roast. 2.30pm

A tomato an hour ago and a few sunflower seeds.

Lamb steak and salad for tea which is leaves beetroot avocado and tomato.

Is this enough food and nutritionally ok?

Hi guys anyone have a view on this? Many thanks x

You would be surprised at how little food you do need!

Yeah, that looks fine!

Hi @Linagirl

Can i suggest you have a good rummage through the wider forum?
There have been some great threads on intermittent fasting (@AloeSvea has a great one going at the moment) which you may find very useful.

Actually, come to think of it, you would find some great answers to other questions you have asked (bulletproof coffee, etc.). Just enter the search term and follow your nose. There are years worth of fascinating threads at your disposal...

Thanks Brun yes I haven't really ventured far from here yet..will do thanks xx
