Type 1 Intermittent flu type symptoms

Hello. Does anyone suffer from intermittent and recurring episodes of flu type symptoms which can knock you out for a couple of days before you begin to feel better?
I am being driven crazy by this at the moment. I don't develop proper illnesses but I get symptoms ALL THE TIME. I feel exhausted, shivery, I get mouth ulcers, I feel sick sometimes, I have no energy etc etc. I feel so ill I have to go to bed. I'm clueless to what is going on and have not described things very well but it's like I have some sort of infection or virus which never properly materialises and eventually I'm ok again until maybe a week later when it all starts again. If anyone can relate or knows what the cause is, I'd be so grateful for your reply. Thank you.

Can't relate to it @HannahCopeland but you should discuss this with your gp who may request blood tests, if your diabetes is under control you shouldn't get ill any more than someone who doesn't have diabetes (unless of course there's an underlying cause).
