Hello all, I was diagnosed on new years eve 2013 at the age of 17. I have been using a libre for almost 1 year, my a1c was 67 and is now 57 after being on the libre. All advice welcome and I hope I can maybe help others

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. What took you so long to post.

Yep, these libres are great. I use a Bluetooth bridge & rock it like a CGM set up.

Hello, I'm not sure really i used a similar site when I was first diagnosed but then didn't post. I want to try and use my experience to hopefully help others and learn along the way. Yep I scan with my phone too makes life a lot easier!

We are all learning as we go along.. :)

Scan? I only scan when I activate the sensor. Technically I don't even need to do that.
Every five minutes the graph updates my phone or smart watch.. I get a wrist buzz if I trip out of range.. ;)

Great to have you onboard.!

You must have a more up to date libre than I do! Are you in the UK?

Yep, UK based. Libre first gen. I use a miaomiao Bluetooth bridge that sits over it & scans, sending to my devices..
No more "hunt the disc." Or weird contortion acts.. :) Oh, & the app can be calibrated to the meter. Regarding any discrepancies.
