Introduction and Type 3 Diabetes

Dear all,

I am in my mid 30's, and was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago. The doctors record my type of diabetes as type 3 as it was induced by the surgical removal of my pancreas. Is there anybody else out there with a similar experience? Or has come across this term of "Type 3" before? Be good to hear from you and become involved in the community. My diabetes is brittle, and I have pretty much constant high blood sugar - despite dosing up on insulin on a daily basis. Advice wold be good, as would getting to know others with the condition.

Yours,

Chris

We've had a few people with T3,
It's hard to search for them as the search engine won't let me use Type 3 diabetes

I 'know' of a couple of people on another forum with no pancreas and like you they have a 'brittle' diabetes . One is a child who has used a pump for a long time, I believe she also gets NHS funding for a continuous monitor.(not many get this) The other is an adult and has also recently gone onto a pump. Certainly I think that both would be invaluable.
