Hi
@Thulani Mtetwa , welcome to the forum.
Different things could be going on. According to your profile, your treated with diet only, no medication.
What is a typical day of food for you?
All carbs turn to sugar in the body, and many of our T2 members have had great success treating their diabetes by going low carb.
At 32, you're a bit on the young side for T2, although it happens. The risk is higher if you're overweight though, are you?
Have other types been mentioned as a possibility?
From your other post, I see you're in Zimbabwe, I have absolutely no idea what the healthcare system in Zimbabwe looks like.
Are you testing your blood glucose at home, how often are you in contact with your doctor or diabetes nurse?
Can you contact them? If you're always seeing numbers in the teens, something needs to be done about it.
And a word of caution: You're only recently diagnosed. Should your BG go higher, but especially if you get symptoms like nausea, stomach ache, vomiting, funny breathing, and funny smelling breath, go to a hospital immediately. Those can be symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and it's a medical emergency.
I hope things will improve for you soon!
