Letter in the post informing me my practice is changing their recall system, it's now going to be alphabetical.
Fine.
Then on the other side of the letter there is a Fast Alcohol Screening Test.
For the following questions, 1 standard drink = 1 unit of alcohol.... no actual definition of a standard drink is given...
Questions:
Men: How often do you have 8 or more standard drinks on one occasion. Never, less than monthly, monthly, weekly or daily.
Women: 6 or more....
Only answer the following question if your answer above is monthly or less.
How often during the last 6 months have you been unable to remember what happened the night before because you had been drinking? Never, less than monthly, monthly, weekly or daily.
How often during the last 6 months have you failed to do what was normally expected of you because of drinking?
Never, less than monthly, monthly, weekly or daily.
In the Last 6 months, has a relative or friend, or a doctor or other health worked been concerned about your drinking or suggested you cut down?
Never, less than monthly, monthly, weekly or daily.
My question would be that if you answered monthly or less for the first question would be you more or less likely to be answering the following questions in the affirmative than if you went for weekly or more. Or is it assumed that if you answered weekly or more you would automatically be answering the following questions affirmatively?
