Hi again all you wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable people,
We are looking at an iphone 12 only issue is dexcom say that iOS no higher than 14.6 will work, however latest version is 15.1.1, now my good lady has been receiving a mixed bag of replies with regards to compatibility, mostly positive, any one here have any useful info on this.
My son uses a samsung s9 at the mo but he was out with a pal in a different area 2 nights ago and phone died at 38% so no glucose reading and tracker no good.
As always any and all info greatly appreciated to give my boy freedom with peace of mind.
Many thanks

Sorry, I have no experience of Apple phones.
However, it is recommended to always carry finger pricking meter with you as a CGM can fail regardless of phone problems. I know this is a pest but I was very grateful for to have a back up when my phone failed recently so I lost Libre and pump control.

I have the iPhone 12 mini and I use it with freestyle libre , I have latest IOS and as yet no problems to report , I have a reader as well which to be honest I use more than the phone all be it with no alarms

Thanks again for invaluable feedback peeps, I've took a gamble and the app worked straight away so fingers x'd it stays good.
Thanks again.
Ed

Hi - I an considering trialing the dexcom G6 self funding but my iPhone XS is already on ios 15.2.1 - is this likely to be a problem. Any advice welcome. I rand dexcom support and they said it’s not compatible and only at ios 14 but surely each time you buy a new phone it will have the higher ios on it. How can I get around this - Thanks
