Been feeling a bit puffed out when walking and got palpitations again. I happened to have a set of blood tests via GP. Receptionist said "there's a problem with your iron snd ferritin levels Dr wants to speak to you on the phone, she arranged this app for 5 days later! Dr rand he said low iron and low ferritin, need to take iron tabs. And get re-tested in 3 months.
Went to see different GP today cos I have been freling so breathless, worn out and totally ghastly, I started the iron on Monday gone. She said my iron wasn't that low at 11.2 and ferritin was bit low at 9. Then she just focused on my hba1c which has gone from 92 to 79 ( which am pleased about and working on). She asked was I depressed (been on citalapram for 3 years now). She said I was very pale but I should be ok in about 2 weeks.
Maybe I worry too much. ????
(Type 1 for 40 yrs).
