I was using your HbA1c converter tool on the website when I noticed that underneath there was an indicator of how good the reading was, Green for good, amber and red. My reading of 49 mmol/mol IFCC came out as borderline amber/green.
I wondered how low I needed to get it in order for it to register as "good". According to your converter about the greenest value I could hope for would be 20 mmol/mol(IFCC) equivalent to a blood glucose reading of 3.8 mmol/L. I think you should know that it is very dangerous of you to imply that this reading is a good target to aim for. Diabetics are much more likely than non-diabetics to show fluctuations in blood sugar levels. Any diabetic who manged to produce an average blood sugar level of less than 4 mmol/L would be almost certain to experiencing hypos. And would certainly not be safe to drive. The DVLA might have something to say about it. Please change it.
