this is my first time so bear with me. I have had type 2 for 6 years which I keep well controlled and may soon be able to reduce Meds. My query concerns my husband who due to cancer has had quite a bit of his insides removed including the head of the pancreas, this can lead to diabetes needing insulin. His BS has been around 15 first thing, but that can be caused by chemotherapy. Has finished treatment and this week had a reading of 27.7. Rang doctor who is not concerned but on insistence did Hba1c still hasn't rang with results though saying she would. How long before treatment if any would need to start ask am worried about complications?

Hi and welcome @CaCl19

Sorry to hear about your husband's situation.
Can I suggest you have a look at the Type 3c section of the forum (go to the forum lists and scroll down til you see it). We have a select few whose pancreas' have been damaged by disease or operation, and they hang out there.

Hope they can help with advice for you. :)
