Is eBay the cheapest place to buy test strips??

I'm type 2 and have recently been told no more test strips or lancets etc.
So I began my mission to find the cheap.
Is £10 for Aviva strips good?
I had to do a 'buy it now' and they seemed to be the cheapest with a reputable seller - however, I then felt 'fleeced' when I saw that if I had been able to wait for auctions to run their course, strips with the same seller were listed from £1 - can anyone tell me, how high do these go and is it worth waiting on these auction style listings in the future???

Thanks

Ronan

A quick look on amazon and the cheapest on there was £18-69 for 50, you could try the suppliers direct to see if they will supply and at what price.

Problem with ebay is some strips might be close or past their use date, also it could be that some one is selling their own prescription surpluses. Its hard enough for some to get strips, without having others selling their prescriptions, though if you can't get a prescription you don't have much choice if you want branded strips.

The other alternative is to get one of the meters that use cheap test strips around £6 to £9 for 50.

I received the strips, well in date, sealed, new etc. I did message the seller to ask if they have these running all the time and was told no, these items were given to them for a trial and were now no longer required. I am going to place a couple of bids tonight as they are so cheap - did you see the ones I was looking at??

Did not see them on ebay, closed my account ages ago, too many scammers on there.

What out for the postage price! I looked at some strips for £5ish but the postage was £8.00!!! No need for Securicor to deliver!

Hi i think Supercheck2 are a great price £8.49 for 50 strips is you phone the company they will send you a meter for free and they are very good they send strips with next day delivery i to have to buy my own strips. There phone no is 01636 831201 i find the meter easy to use and it even has a facility to talk to you [it is recommended by the RNIB] but you don't have to use it hope this helps

Whenever i have got strips from ebay, you can see where there is residue of the glue from the prescription label

I deem this to be purchasing "stolen goods"

So be careful who you buy them from
