Type of diabetes
Gestational
I'm 24 years old. Had a baby girl 15 months ago. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. My BG was normal once the baby was born.

4 months ago I separated from my boyfriend (baby's dad) and have been very stressed out since then. To make myself feel better, I have been having lots of chocolate bars, chocolate desserts, ice cream and drinks everyday. Like I would have 4 chocolate eclair for my breakfast and then icecream and chocolates after lunch, and chocolate mousse and cookies etc for snack. 4 to 6 cans of coke / diet coke a day.

Now, I have a bad feeling that I have diabetes. It's not that I'm feeling extra thirsty or goin to loo too many times, I have a weird feeling in my body. It stays there several hours after I have my meal. It goes away in the morning and it's at its extreme during night time.

Please tell me if its diabetes or not. But please don't make me feel bad. I know my food choices are poor but I am under a lot of stress so I'm unable to focus on improving my food choices at the moment.

Thanks

Get thee to a doctor for a check up & use some science.. "Bad feelings" are pointless without the proof ether way...?
Good luck!

Your weird feeling doesn't sound like diabetes but with your history of gestational diabetes and your diet it is definitely worth getting it checked out by a doctor.

The weird feeling could be associated with stress/anxiety and it might be worth speaking to your doctor about that too - they might be able to suggest some healthier coping strategies.

Speak to your doctor - hopefully they will at least be able to take the diabetes anxiety off your plate and might be able to help with the other stresses.
