hello .
i am diagnosed 17 month ago with diabet type 1(and now i am 20 years old) .and at first i was in 48 units of insulin(both regular and nph) . but after month was reduced to just 12 units of lantus and still i have used 12 units .however my bs are completly controll .my last hba1c was 5.6 and never my blood suger goes upper than 150after meal although i have eaten too much sugery food .just for example today i ate a pizza and a bottle of soda (at least has 25 gr suger) but my 2hpp was 96! also if i have,nt eat anything after injection i became a intense hypo ...but my question is that With these qualities is it still honeymoon ??

forgive me if i had mistake in my writing...

Sure sounds like it, enjoy it while it lasts! :)

thanks .but you know i read that in a best situation honeymoon lasts one year and in this period have a very Swing in bs but i never had a Swing !! .and another question is that i read that after a period of time when honeymoon starts our body need more insulin to contorol bs but as i said my units still is just 12 units of lantus(it was 14 units but my doctor reduced it)
i forgot to say that my weight is 85kg see with this weight i just take 12 units of lantus !!

I'm still in the honeymoon after 2,5 years - my doc says it can last up to 5 years. At about 60kg I take 7 units of levemir and between 0 and 6 units of novorapid to my meals.
Anyone would hypo if not eating after injecting - why did you do this?

no i mean that lantus dose,nt have The peak effect but after 2-3 hours after inject it Although i eat breakfast withought any rapid insulin my bs starts to reduce too fast... (mostly 2hpp after breakfast is under 90)
but i asked as my dr he told me that your insulin can be reduced after 2-3 years in future
can i ask you how level of your bs now ? do you have swing in your bs ? is it harder to be contorol your bs over time that your diabet Was diagnosed?

Hi again, it's get easier over time. You learn more and more about the effect of different foods but also of exercise. I have swings from time to time but not very often. My latest Hba1c was 4.8 and I usually wake up within the range of 4.7 - 5.2.
You really should avoid stuff like soda with all that fast sugars (unless you need it to treat a hypo) slow carbs will keep your bs steadier.
