is it ok to do this........

If it works, it is okay but it may be a bit much for exercise to cover depending on what you do.

Did you have it with milk or yoghurt and did you remember to check what the sugar/carb was in the milk?

Can you test your blood glucose before, at 1 hour and after your exercise so you can see for yourself how it works?

I would personally prefer eggs and bacon or just some greek yoghurt with perhaps a few teaspoons of cereal, or chopped almonds and a tad of sweetener.

Test, and let us know what you get.

After 2hrs it was 7.4, now off for Gammon steak and two fried eggs on it

7.4 is too high for me after breakfast, I would not have cereal, excercise or not.

I agree that 7.4 is a bit high. I try to not go over 6.5 at all.

It is no catastrophe either, but I would try to come up with something with less grain in it.

Nearly everyone on here say it should be 7.8 or lower after 2 hrs so what is right, seeing diaetician next week, see what she say's

thought 7.4 would be ok :!:

It's ok , but look at this thread which will explain why people try to go lower and what my view on that is:-

Personally, I think you're fine having your cereal and getting those readings at 75 years of age! I think some of our younger colleagues are thinking further ahead than you and I might!

I agree with Grazer

It's Above the 7.8 where problems can happen, if you want the cereal and are getting those readings, have it.

Without the exercise it's probably a different story. If you fancy a carb and want to exercise to use up the extra BG, why not?

Personal choice.
